n-Propylamine has higher boiling point .
As we know in case of 1 degree and 2 degree amines , the boiling point of these is higher than those of 3 degree amines .
Here , propylamine is 1 degree amine . it has two hydrogen atoms on the nitrogen atom . hence it has intermolecular hydrogen bonding , therefore the boiling point of propylamine is higher than trimethylamine .
But in case of trimethylamine , it is a 3 degree amine . so it does not have hydrogen bond on nitrogen atom . as a result , it does not have hydrogen bonding . hence the boiling point of trimethylamine is lower than that of propylamine .
