Pizza and root beer for Sally are complement goods.

But what is complement or complementary goods? They are good that are bought and used together. In this case, they can be foods that can always be partnered. Like, for Sally, they wouldn't like to consume pizza if there's no root beer.

In law of demand and supply, if there are consumers who are like Sally, a fall in the price of pizza will lead to an increase of quantity demand for pizza and this might then lead to higher demand for complement beverage, root beer.

If this scenario exists in real life, for sure companies who sell pizza or root beer will offer bundles! Producers and sellers of consumer goods understand that complement goods are bought together and they can grab the opportunity to make discounts and promos for profit. If pizza and beer are going to be sold together at a store, we call that product bundling.
