Henry S. Parmelee, president of the honest Haven and Westville Street Railway Company, changed into a piano maker from New Haven, Connecticut. He took the concept of Sir Hiram Maxim who invented the second automated fire sprinkler machine in 1874, to defend his piano factory.
Whilst different patents for hearth sprinklers predated Parmelee's work, he's credited with the first automated sprinkler head. His piano organization, Mathushek Piano Manufacturing Co., is credited as having the primary construction in the United States of America to be prepared a fireplace suppression system.
