PLEASE HELP. Many of you are probably familiar with the dark nature of the ring that occurs in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. What foreshadowing of the ring’s deceptive nature do you see in The Hobbit?

Respuesta :

The Sauron-taught art was used to create the Rings of Power, which are said to provide their users "wealth and dominance over others."

What is an example of foreshadowing in The Hobbit?

The Hobbit has a lot of foreshadowing, much of it intended to hint at the peril that Bilbo and the dwarves will encounter while on their mission. When they spoke of their voyage to the Lonely Mountain's hidden entrance, Gandalf is the only one to shake his head and remain silent.

The ring serves as a metaphor for the corrupting of riches and power in both The Hobbit and these earlier writings. Although he originally lived in the sun and above ground, Gollum now leads a terrible life beneath the mountains; it appears that he went below to be by himself with his "precious" ring.
