None of the serious historians try to re-write history purely by interpreting primary sources, while ignoring/dismissing all of the scholars work who have already engaged with those sources.

It is so because all the sources must be critically evaluate in accordance to write history. However, primary sources can be as problematic/troubling as secondary sources.

Therefore, the primary sources contain dated material that we know now is inaccurate, including personal beliefs and biases which were not intended to be.
