Psychoanalysis is a form of therapy that has been criticized for offering interpretations that can't be proven or solved.

This is a form of therapy that is distinguished from other specialties by its body of knowledge and its intensive treatment approaches. It helps in creating structural changes and modifications of a person's personality. It also helps in promoting awareness of unconscious and habitually recurrent patterns of behavior and emotion, which helps in healing the patient.

Psychoanalytic training requires four to eight years of advanced study after the completion of a doctoral degree in psychology. It requires specialized training at institutes, postdoctoral university programs, or equivalent training. This follows a tripartite model of personal and training analysis and a full course to be completed and supervised and work with patients in order to analyze them. Still, in spite of the above, this form of therapy is often criticized.
