There are some who believe that karma is real and there are others who don't believe that karma can affect us.
There are many who belief that karma exists and one thing that they point to is how some evil people get punished for their actions or suffer some terrible consequences.
Then there are those who however do not believe in karma and say that the bad things that happen to some bad people is just coincidence and they back this up by pointing to the fact that some bad people live a full life.
To reply to this, those who believe in karma then say that there is a chance that the person was only punished in their next life.
We can't really know for sure if karma exists but it is best to always treat people well. When we don't treat them well, we might feel bad or create enemies that will try to act as karma themselves.
