4What kinds of Black American stories did Zora want to tell as an author? Zora wanted to write stories about Black Americans who were successful in business and set a good example. Zora wanted to write stories about Black Americans that were as realistic as possible and free from her judgment. Zora wanted to write stories about Black Americans fighting against violence, racism and suppression. Zora wanted to write stories about traveling to new places to encourage Black Americans to travel more.

She wrote about the African American life in the south and how racism was even worse for them down here . The south was the worse place for a black person and still is today . She wanted African Americans to leave the south and explore the world more . She wanted African American to leave America for the white man so we could see better outside of this country . She wanted the world to know about the violence white people caused towards black people . She wanted everybody to see the racism and separation white people caused . She traveled a lot because she wanted black people to see it by encouraging them to do the same .
