Respuesta :
Klan-related deaths were more common in the Southern United States.
The Klan is an American white supremacist, right-wing terrorist, and hate group that primarily targets immigrants, leftists, homosexuals, Muslims, abortionists, and atheists as well as African Americans, Jews, Latinos, Asian Americans, Catholics, and Native Americans. After the American Civil War, the first Klan was founded, and it became one of the most important institutions of the Reconstruction period. It had been organized into multiple chapters throughout the Southern United States. In Georgia, the second Klan got its start as a minor organization in 1915. This second Klan thrived in both the southern and northern states. After 1950, the KKK's third and present incarnation—localized, insular groups that go by the KKK name—emerged. They have concentrated on opposing the civil rights movement and frequently employ murder and violence to repress activists.
In keeping with 19th-century nativism, the Ku Klux Klan's second and third iterations frequently alluded to a false mythologized idea of America's "Anglo-Saxon" blood. Although KKK members claim to follow Christian morals, many Christian denominations condemn them.
