Absolutism can be defined as the reflection and display of real power, which is not restrained by any other institution like the legislature, churches, and social elite composition among others. Monarchs and emperors may promote themselves as being authoritative and powerful, and the individuals may try to control everything and everyone who is a hurdle in the position of absolute power.
The palaces and gardens in Versailles were used by King Louis XIV for pursuing absolutism objectives. The lavish palaces and the sculpted gardens stated that the power of the King extended throughout the natural world easily just as it did over the lives of the common people and subjects.
