You didn't show her answer so I don't know her mistake, but you round to the nearest hundredth by looking at the ten's value, if it's a 5 or greater, add one to the hundredths digit. If its lesser than five, leave the hundredth place.
Ex. Rounding 1,567. Because the tens digit is a 6, you round the 5 up to a 6 and get rid of the tens and one digit. 1,567 rounds to 1,600
Ex. Rounding 1,445. Because the tens digit is a 4, you leave the hundredths digit and get rid of the rest. 1,445 rounds to 1,400.
