College football is a lucrative business. In the 2016 season NCAA football, as a whole, generated $9.15 billion in revenue in the fiscal year. There
are 25 schools that make more than $100 million each, from there the rest of the
schools make much less in revenue or break-even.

NCAA literally generates billions of dollars but, the players are still not compensated
in any way. Discussions turned arguments, turned full on verbal feuds have surfaced
in the media, especially in recent years. Economists argue both sides of the spectrum;
but, ultimately there is still no right or wrong answer.

Economically speaking, is it beneficial to pay college athletes? You will develop a paper
(2 page minimum, 4 page maximum) where you take a stance on whether or not
college athletes should be paid. Look at it from an economic standpoint, how much
revenue they bring in, how much the sports and teams boost the attractiveness of
the school, etc
