A plate boundary is a three dimensional surface or area across which there is a significant change in the velocity (speed or direction) of motion. When two tectonic plates meet, we get a plate boundary. There are three kinds of plate boundaries: divergent, convergent and transform.

Even in the places where the crust is thin and the land is spread, there’s still a great distance of stones and rocks to drill through before we get to see the mantle. Since the closest we can get to a mantle is through deep water in the ocean, the possibility that we can get to see the mantle at the plate boundary seems highly unlikely because of the immense amount of pressure in the deep seas that make any living being impossible to go there. Plus the fact that we have to dig for a long, long period of time to be even able to get to the mantle seems unfeasible.
