Use the triangle on right. Find the length of the missing side. b=2.1,c=2.9

Respuesta :

If they are connecting sides
then c^2-b^2=a^2 by Pythagorean theorm

(2.9)^2-(2.1)^2=a^2
use Pythagorean Theorem to find the answer...a^2 + b^2 = c^2.

since we have b and c, we would use the formula of c^2 - b^2 = a^2

2.9^2 - 2.1^2 = 4  (if we get the square root of each side, we get the answer of a = 2
