Well you didn't give us an article but some ways that you can combat this is by being friends with the disabled kids. Also you could stand up for them. Also treat them like human beings because they are smart but some cant even show it because they are teased so much. Also help them by letting them socialize in school. If you want a good example of how a disabled kid overcame her extreme challenges read the book out of my mind.
