The offspring of a red chicken and a white chicken would most likely be a cross of red and white. If the white gene is dominant, it will be white. If the red gene is dominant, it will be red.

It depends on which genes and alleles are dominant/no dominant. If both the red and white genes are dominant than the chicken would be a splotchy mixture - it would also be like this if all the alleles were not dominant. But if one of the red alleles is no dominant, than some of the chickens will be plain white (and vice versa for one non-dominant white). If the red alleles are not dominant and the white is, then the chickens are most likely to be white - same goes if you swap the dominance of the colours. does that make sense?? if you have the status of the alleles than i can answer the question. more easily. Trying drawing punnet squares to get and idea of the results.
