Muhammad was the prophet that received the revelation of the Qur'an. He is the considered as the last and true prophet in Islam. Muhammad initially was a merchant. Through this profession he actually got exposed to the Christianity and lot of Christian preachers. He got very interested in the religion, but he thought that the course of the religion has diverged from its original principles. One day he received a message from an angle sent from God, which was actually the final revelation according to Islam. He started to spread the word about this and created a new religion, the Islam.

The Islam quickly gained on popularity among the Arab tribes, and it managed to unite them. Soon all Arabs were united under the Islam, so through military conquest they started to spread the Islam as well, rapidly gaining new territory on three continents.
