Hi there! So, there are many reasons that you could have mad a customer unhappy, and some of them don't even include you. As an employee, all you can do is your best. You are human, we all are. If your boss, manager, or even another employee reprimands you, the best thing to do is not speak back or make excuses.  Customer's are looking for something the need or don't have, which makes them very difficult to please. They are trying to express their needs to you. Please be patient with them. Offer every solution you can to make the rest of their experience fantastic, even if it started out rough. Working harder does not necessarily mean that you are "better " than other employees, or that you won't have an unhappy customer or two. Try to improve, and see every customer as an opportunity to prove yourself!! You can do it!! Hope this helps! Good Luck!! : )
