Slaves performed different kind of jobs in Colonial America. For instance in the south colonies, they worked on farms and plantations working the tobacco fields. Besides, slaves were house servants.
Some other tasks that slave had to performed on the plantations include: picking cotton, harvesting sugar cane, planting and harvesting rice, harvesting tobacco, growing and harvesting coffee, and building railroads.
