Answer: It shows how power can make a person arrogant and blind to danger.

Explanation: The witches represent the limits of reason and sensibity. They are the ones who make Macbeth's dark side evident. In this case , Macbeth's thirst for power is percieved. In spite of the fact they try  to warn Macbeth about possible danger , he cannot ,or does not want to understand what they mean. He just wants to become king and orders to kill the Macduff's family.
