Population growth rate can be defined as the change in the size of the population with respect to time. A negative growth rate means the size of the population is decreasing whereas, a positive growth rate means the size of the population is increasing. Immigration refers to the arrival of new members from different location to the area or population under consideration. Emigration refers to the movement of the members of the population to other location.
