Nitrogen cycle is one of the biogeochemical cycles that plays a major function in maintaining life on the planet. Moreover, this is used by both abiotic and biotic factors. Nitrogen gets put into the atmosphere, where it then mixes with soil, and eventually gets used by plants living off the soil. The plants use this nitrogen for many of their functions, and eventually gets put back into the atmosphere by plants.
