Respuesta :

The pink, blue, and green rectangles have the same perimeter (24 cm), but have different areas.

The blue rectangle has the greatest area (35 cm²)

The green rectangle has the least area (35 cm²).

Perimeter of a Rectangle

Perimeter of a rectangle is the length around the borders of the rectangle.

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(length + width).

Area of a Rectangle

Area = length × width

Three rectangles with the same perimeter but different areas have been drawn in the image below. They are;

Perimeter and Area of the Pink Rectangle:

Perimeter = 2(8 + 4) = 24 cm

Area = 8 × 4 = 32 cm²

Perimeter and Area of the Blue Rectangle:

Perimeter = 2(7 + 5) = 24 cm

Area = 7 × 5 = 35 cm²

Perimeter and Area of the Green Rectangle:

Perimeter = 2(10 + 2) = 24 cm

Area = 10 × 2 = 20 cm²

Therefore, the pink, blue, and green rectangles have the same perimeter (24 cm), but have different areas.

The blue rectangle has the greatest area (35 cm²)
