Jenna has a bag that contains 7 red marbles and 25 blue marbles. She selects a marble at random, and then, without replacing the first one, selects another marble at random.

What is the probability that Jenna selects a blue marble and then a red marble? Round your answer to the nearest percent.

Respuesta :

I think the answer is somewhere above 50%
Probability to get a blue marble first = [tex] \frac{25}{25+7} = \frac{25}{32} [/tex]

Probability of getting a red marble next = [tex] \frac{7}{32-1} = \frac{7}{31} [/tex]

Total probability = [tex] \frac{25}{32}* \frac{7}{31} = \frac{175}{992} [/tex]

Percentage probability = [tex] \frac{175}{992} *100= 17.6[/tex]
