The Ottoman Empire and Europe traded with each other. The Ottoman Empire made the Europeans to find another way causing people like Vasco de gama and Christopher Colombus to explore. The Europeans wanted to cancel out the middle men which were Ottomans. Also the Ottomans attacked Constantinople, causing greek scholars to fled to Italy so basically causing the renaissance
