Salzman is a very religious man, that has his own rightful ways of living life. He helps Leo find a bride with no success, but in the climax of the story, his wildlife daughter is apparently the perfect bride for Leo. In the story, Salzman's character is very particular with prayers and faith in God, to the point that he questions Leo's faith.
