Brock Turner sexual assault case, where a man sexually assaulted a passed out woman, he got sentence to just 6 months and go let out after serving just 3 months because of 'good behaviour', this displays a problem in socially because, of the sort sentence,this sends out a negative message, sexual assault and r*pe is one of the most un reported crime of violence and is most highest in male -female, this sentence and other sort sentencing that this crime (sometime) gets, will not solve this problem at all. R*pe and sexual assault victims will be discourage to not report it, as they won't see the point in going throw court, be cross examine and have to go throw their attack over and over again in the head, just for the perpetrated to get a very sort sentence. These sort sentences, will also not work well in trying to prevent (a crime that happens quite often) as if he got 2+ years for what he did, others would be less inclined to commit the act (thinking they will get the same time) then with the sentence he got (thinking if they will get the same time) it also sends out the message that we have some tolerance to this. In Scotland a 12 year old girl was raped by an adult man, and he got just 3 years 4 months , he gave her a life sentence he get 3 year 4 months, the court worked in his favour not the child's nor her family or social. In Congo r*pe is a very high, with victims being mainly women and girls. with one women from there, telling about how a group on men came in killed her husband, her 2 young boys, the gang r*ped he ten year old daughter in front of her, with her dying from the injurious and the her getting gang r*ped, women over there are dying throw the injurious, not being able to have children afterwards because of the injuries, e.c.t. some women get pregnant as a result of it, where there husbands often leave them and refuse to raise another mans baby. But there is know violence that only happens to women/ girls, r*pe happens to men and boys as well, and we need to make sure that we don't just make out like it happens just to women, or call it a women's issue, because its a human's issue as it happens to all human's and affects all of socially, women do not face anymore issue then men do in developed continues
