Two lines are parallel if they have the SAME slope:
Part 1) Find the slope of a line that is parallel to the given line: SLOPE = 3
Part 2) Find the slope of a line that is perpendicular to the given line:
Two lines are perpendicular if the slope of one is the negative reciprocal of the other ( example if the slope of the 1st is "a" , the slope of the perpendicular line will be "(- 1/a)"
In our case a = 3, then the line perpendicular will be - 1/3
(or in shorter terms the product of the slopes of 2 perpendicular lines = -1)
( 3 x -1/3 = -1)
