Napoleon Bonaparte had conquered much of Europe until the Battle of Waterloo that was his final defeat. Until that moment, Bonaparte had conquered Egypt, Belgium, Holland, parts of Italy, Austria, Germany, Poland, and Spain.
The Battle of Waterloo was the final defeat of Napoleon and it took place in Belgium. The French army was defeated by the British and Prussian army and it ended the period known as the Napoleonic Wars.
