One thing to note is that if you have a fraction or division problem where the same exact number, variable, or term is in both the numerator and denominator, this can be cancelled out. In this case, [tex]10^{3} [/tex] is in both the numerator and the denominator, meaning that they can simply be omitted from the problem.
The division problem will now be:
[tex] \frac{1.05}{1} [/tex]
Any number that is divided by 1 will simply result in that number, so your final evaluation will be 1.05.
