The answer to this question is what we call the Noble Cause Corruption. This corruption follows the teleological ethical system which believes and adheres to the principle “the ends justify the means”. This is a misconduct wherein the officers, in this case the police, outwit the law in order to serve what they perceive is to be for the greater good.
