Ignoring air resistance...
vf^2-vi^2=2gs, where vf is final velocity, vi=initial velocity, g=acceleration due to gravity, and s is the displacement of the object...
For an object being dropped, vi=0, so we have only have final velocity.
v^2=2gs
v=-√(2gs), g≈-32ft/s^2, s=-76
v=-√(2(-32)(-76))
v=-√4864
v≈ -69.74 ft/s (to nearest hundredth of a foot per second)
It's negative because the object is falling, or height is decreasing :P
