A person can survive for several days without food ,but not without water,
If he didn't eat for several days,he would first feel the effects of hunger which are exhaustion,unwillingness to do any physical activity as he wouldn't have the strength and force to move around.But it would take him a long time to die of hunger if he drank water occasinally
