The length of a ribbon is 3/4 meters. Sun hi needs pieces measuring 1/3 meter. What are the greatest number of pieces measuring 1/3 meter that can be cut from the ribbon.

2, since 2x 1/3 is 2/3, which is less than 3/4.

2.25 pieces max., because 1/3 is .75 of 1/4, so using that you multiply .75 times 3 (because it is 3/4 not 1/4) and tada.
