The constitution helped the articles of confederation become a stronger government. It helped solved tax problems not having a president, not being able to resolve conflicts between the states and not getting the British to leave their land. The constitution gave the Federal government the ability to tax the states. To pay for armies and other stuff. The structure of the government got better. At first, they had no president to carry out the will of national congress. But the constitution fixed that. The authority of the articles of confederation wasn’t very strong.
