The harmful bacteria are finally destroyed during THE STERILIZATION STAGE. Water purification is divided into five different stages, which are: screening, coagulation, sedimentation, filtration and sterilization. The sterilization stage is the stage where suitable chemicals or heat are added to the water samples in order to kill any infective agent that may be inside it.
