so first, you put the two equations equaled to each other
2x - 14 = x + 2
next solve for the x
2x -x = 14 + 2
x = 16
After getting x (which is 16 in this case) plug it back into all x in the diagram
2x - 14 and x+2 to be exact
TU =2(16) - 14 OL=16 + 2
TU= 32 -14 OL = 18
TU = 18 OL = 18
