A student pushes a box with a total mass of 50kg. What is the net force on the box if it accelerates 1.5m/s^2?

As the second law of physics states, the force is equal with the mass multiplied with the acceleration of the object.
[tex]F=m*a[/tex]
Thus for the given box the net force on it is
[tex]F=50*1.5 (m/s^2)=75 (N)[/tex]
