This question is based on the following poem.

   Laugh and be merry, remember, better the world with a song,
   Better the world with a blow in the teeth of a wrong.
   Laugh, for the time is brief, a thread the length of a span.
   Laugh and be proud to belong to the old proud pageant of man.

I believe the first answer is D, take pride in being a human being BECAUSE that's what being human is all about, you have to do the nitty gritty before you can rest. :) And for the second answer would be B, for it is explaining something. Good luck!
