The Aquarius is an underwater locale located 9km away from
the Key of Largo in Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. It is the only
underwater laboratory in the whole world developed for scientific
investigation and education. It was established in 1986 operated by
Florida International University. Another purpose why this laboratory was
established because scientists wanted to explore the ocean and research
about underwater species. This undersea laboratory is owned by the NOAA or
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
