The articles of confederation give the power to the states to operates with their own autonomy, which makes each states able to create their own taxation system depending on the need of their citizens.
While it provide several benefit because it reduce the workload of the federal government, it provide several disadvantages because it become harder for the feds to make necessary financial adjustment in special circumstances.
