Eli Whitney, the inventor of the cotton gin was from the North. This isn't a full irony because the textile mills in the north did benefit greatly from cheap cotton that the cotton gin made possible because it cut the processing cost of the cotton down to almost nothing.

The cotton Gin was a machine that used to divide the fiber of the cotton from their seeds and this machine used to do this phenomenon swiftly.   This qualifies greater and speedy output as contrasted to other manual cotton detachment. These fibers used to be produced and organized into various goods related to cotton for example linens and on the other hand the cotton which is undamaged is used mostly in the textile industry. The seeds divided are also used to increase the productivity of cotton and also is used to produce cottonseed oil.  

A cotton gin which was the modern mechanical machine was invented by Eli Whitney and his machine was a combination of wire screens attached with small wired hooks and the working of these hooks is to pull the cotton through. The work of brushes present in this machine is to remove loose cotton which causes jams.  

This invention came in as a revolution of the cotton industry of the United States. This invention is also called to be one of the contributing factors which led to the American Civil War.
