I need to evaluate this expression, but i am not sure what to do with the multiplication and division being together3y+6/2x

Hi. Are you sure you are evaluating and not simplifying? Typically when you evaluate, a number is given for each variable. 

If you are simplifying it is broken down as follows:

3y + 6/2x

= 6xy + 6/2x

= 3xy + 3/x
