This gene sequence undergoes transcription to produce mrna by rna polymerase, and other proteins. This occurs in the nucleus of a eukaryotic cell. While prokaryotic cells lack the same type of nucleus that has organizational skills, the eukaryotic cell has this nucleus and contains various organelles for completion of this process.
