This is an example of a supportive style of leadership behavior. In supportive leadership, the leader tries to lessen employee stress and disappointment in the workplace. This procedure is effective especially when the tasks given at work are harmful, tiresome, and stressful. However, it is not effective if the tasks are essentially motivating since the employee doesn't need to be motivated to do the task.
