Mitochondria are organelles present in the cells which synthesize the ATP for cellular respiration. ATP is known as energy currency of the cell which is necessary for cellular function in our body.
Cellular respiration focus creating ATP and this process is divided into three steps. Glycolysis, Kreb cycle and Electron transport chain (ETC). Kreb cycle and ETC occurs inside the mitochondria.
Kreb cycle: It creates ATP and electron Carrier molecules form pyruvic acid.
ETC: It is synthesized large amount of ATP to use these electron Carrier molecules.
