Hey there!
We think of a hypothesis as a scientific prediction of some sort. Therefore, first, it has to be testable- to prove you're right or wrong. Second of all, it has to be observable. You need to be able to observe what's going on. The reason I didn't say valid is because all hypotheses aren't necessarily valid. They surely can be wrong, and proven so through experimentation.
