There are 3 ways(or more) of solving this..
The first way:
1) Since 20 is a multiple of 100, you multiply The numerator and denominator by 5: 6/20*5/5= 30/100
2) You should know 30/100 is 0.30 or 0.3
The second way:
1) Simplify 6/20 and you should get 3/10: 6/20 divided by 2/2= 3/10
2) You should know that 3/10 is 0.3
The third way:
1) Divide 6 and 20 and you should get 0.3
You could use whatever way you want or do whatever helps you best. Hope this helps  :)

Here's how you do it.  You'll use this forever,
so you should memorize it:

A fraction is just a short way to write a division.
Whenever you see a fraction, it means

(the top number) divided by (the bottom number).

When you actually do the division, the quotient you get
is the decimal that's equal to the fraction.

To find the decimal equivalent of a fraction, divide
the top number by the bottom number.

           (6)  divided by  (20)  =  0.3 .
