The Big Bad Baseball team had lots of great hitters. Sue had a .426 batting average. Heidi had 12 hits in a 15 times a bat. Selena got a hit of 47.5% of the times she was at the bat. Who had the highest batting average?

For this case, what you must do is pass all the averages to the same unit of measurement in order to make the comparison between the three batters.
 We have then:
 Sue = 0.426
 Heidi = (12/15) = 0.8
 Selena = (47.5 / 100) = 0.475
 answer
 the highest batting average was for Heidi with an average of 0.8
