Predation is kind of interaction among species, in which one organism kills the other organisms in order to obtain it's food. The organism which feed upon other organisms is called as a predator and the the organism being consumed is called as prey.

The dorsal fin is a kind of camouflage to disguise prey organisms, so that the frogfish can obtain it's food by attracting and killing small sea creatures. Therefore, it is a predation type of interaction between the frogfish and other species of fish it attracts.
